Dear NACE Member:

As we launch our new website, I am thrilled to share with you the many activities that your board and national headquarters staff have been working on since July and the completion of our 2007 Conference.

Recently having attended the annual conference in Houston, I am so excited about the path in which our organization is headed.  The Houston Chapter of NACE can be proud of having hosted a spectacular conference with the highest attendance to date.  The planning committee, along with many talented members, created truly exciting events and provided so many wonderful ideas for us to take back.  Thanks so much to this chapter and to their volunteers for their contributions towards making the 2007 Educational Conference such an amazing experience for our members.

Our new web site has now launched!  We are excited about the new format and the new benefits to our members, which includes on-line membership sign up and renewal, national conference and event registration.  One of the best benefits is that our web site will become a resource to the consumer who seeks to find a NACE member who can provide services for any event.  The consumer will be able to search our membership by service provided.  There are other great benefits and a brand new look. Take a few minutes to explore.

NACE's relationship with catersource has been one that our board has been working on for some time.  We have developed a relationship that I am confident will be a long lasting one.  Through this relationship, NACE will participate in providing speakers at the Catersource conference, we will have an exhibit booth at the tradeshow to promote membership and Catersource will become a NACE business partner.  We look for this relationship to help us promote our membership and the CPCE program.

Beginning in January and throughout the first quarter of 2008 we will be hosting Leadership Summits in four areas throughout the country.  At these summits your chapter leaders will gather to learn more about the business of our association.  These leaders will attend training seminars that cover topics relevant to chapter association leadership.

The summer of 2008 brings Experience! 2008-The Future of Catering & Event Design where our members, along with catering professionals from around the world will gather in Philadelphia to learn more about the constantly changing trends that affect the catering & event industry.  At this conference we will be wrapping up our 50th anniversary year with even more surprises for our members.  I am looking forward to seeing all of you in the City of Brotherly Love to attend this amazing event.

As my first term as your national president nears its end, I am even more excited to be a part of NACE.  During my term your leadership and headquarters staff have developed many great member experiences and we will continue to provide more enhancements to your NACE membership. Thank you for supporting me as your leader.

Together we will make NACE a better place for our members.
